KS3 REVISION, GAMES & FLASHCARDS PACK

How Should We Farm for a Better World?

(Companion to the Core KS3 Glossary)

How to use this pack:

These are revision-friendly explanations, not full definitions.

Use for flashcards, games, starters, plenaries, retrieval practice, and SEND/EAL support.

Students should still refer to the Core Glossary for formal learning.

👉 How well soil supports plant life and ecosystems.
🧠 Memory tip: “Healthy soil = healthy food.”

🐄 4. Animals, Biology & Welfare

Animal By-products
👉 Materials from animals used in farming, like manure or bone meal.
🧠 Memory tip: “By-products = not meat.”

Bioaccumulation
👉 Harmful substances building up in animals over time.
🧠 Memory tip: “Build-up through food chains.”
